ModMed, headquartered in Boca Raton, FL, is hiring a driven Manager of Platform Engineering to lead the development of Modernizing Medicine’s web solutions. You will oversee teams building AI-enabled, cloud-based healthcare software designed to increase practice efficiency and patient care.

The role requires strong leadership, Agile/Scrum expertise, and hands-on experience with Java or .NET, SOAP/REST, SOA, and modern web architectures.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience managing engineering teams in a web-based environment.
• 5+ years of experience with the Agile/Scrum development methodology.
• Strong OO design and SOA principles.
• Backend development with Java or .NET.
• Experience with Web Services (SOAP & REST).
• Familiarity with application lifecycle management tools for source control, CI/CD, and testing.
• Knowledge of application server technologies.
• Strong commitment to quality, architecture, and maintainability.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple teams of Software Engineers building the next generation of healthcare products.
• Grow the Software Engineering organization by empowering the engineers and managers and pushing down ownership and accountability.
• Align the Software Engineering organization around our mission, core values, and desired behaviors.
• Establish development processes, engineering metrics, and operational guidelines that improve the overall health of the Software Engineering organization through continuous improvements.
• Be a champion of engineering initiatives and ensure products and releases are delivered on time and with high quality.
• Provide technical leadership and governance of development activities.
• Drive improvements in the overall health of the organization.
