Job summary

ClassDojo seeks an Engineering Leader to own the Platform engineering org end-to-end for infrastructure, data, developer experience, and AI tooling. You will manage engineering managers, deliver a platform roadmap, and balance build-vs-buy decisions with customer needs across the engineering organization.

You will be a match if you have 10+ years in technical roles, 2+ years managing managers, and a track record of owning platform or infrastructure domains with measurable outcomes.

Qualifications

• 2+ years managing managers.
• 10+ years total in technical roles.
• Owned a platform, infrastructure, data, or developer-productivity area and delivered measurable outcomes.
• Built platform engineering practices across multiple teams and earned adoption.
• Hired, developed, and managed engineering managers.

Responsibilities

• Lead a multi-team Platform org and own the engineering plan and roadmap.
• Develop EMs with clear feedback, growth plans, and support.
• Drive AI-native development in line with engineering practices.
• Set direction and ensure platform quality, reliability, and observability.
• Build paved roads and golden paths to drive adoption.
• Co-own platform roadmap with product leads and partner with Security, Ops, Data, and others.
