Job summary

JP Morgan Chase seeks a software engineering leader to take end-to-end ownership of the platform delivery, driving standards, architecture reviews, and cross-team collaboration across infrastructure, network, and security domains.

You will chair design reviews for gateway and session management, align platforms with reference architectures, and oversee migrations of legacy components while maintaining production readiness and observability.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of industry experience, including 4+ years leading engineering teams.
• Proven track record managing teams of 15+ engineers across multiple workstreams.
• Strong hands-on grounding in ingress and gateway tech: Envoy or Kong.
• Experience with OAuth 2.0 / OIDC / PKCE flows and mTLS concepts.
• Production Kubernetes experience and GitOps delivery (ArgoCD/Helm).
• Go development background for reviewing control-plane code and design discussions.
• Experience partnering with enterprise Architecture and infrastructure teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the end-to-end delivery plan for the platform across workstreams.
• Set and enforce engineering standards including reviews, testing, docs, and observability.
• Chair technical design reviews for gateway, control plane, and session management.
• Collaborate with enterprise Architecture to align with reference architectures.
• Partner with Infrastructure, Network, Cybersecurity, and Identity teams on dependencies.
• Lead the migration and decommissioning of legacy auth proxies and agents.
• Drive delivery cadence: sprint planning, backlog grooming, risk management, capacity planning.
