Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an experienced Platform Engineering Manager to lead the delivery and evolution of the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) across the Marketing and Sales Technology organization. You will guide self-service CI/CD, infrastructure provisioning, and platform orchestration to improve developer experience and secure software delivery.

You will partner with product teams, platform architects, IT operations, security, SRE, and release management to translate business needs

Qualifications

Bachelor degree or higher in engineering/computer science or related field.
12+ years of professional experience in platform engineering, cloud, or DevSecOps.
Experience leading platform engineering delivery and cross-functional collaboration.
Experience with GCP services and cloud-native architectures.
Strong communication and leadership skills for executive stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Own the Internal Developer Platform (IDP) strategy, roadmap, and delivery.
Lead and mentor the platform engineering team to deliver secure, reliable services.
Collaborate with product teams, Enterprise Architecture, IT Ops, security, SRE and release management.
Champion DevSecOps, observability, and cost-aware cloud practices.
Drive improvements in developer experience and platform outcomes across Ford's org.
