Job summary

Ford Motor Company is seeking an Identity Platform Engineering Manager to define strategy and lead the engineering and operations of our IAM platform across employees, dealers, suppliers, customers, workloads, and AI-powered identities.

The role begins as a senior individual contributor with enterprise influence, then evolves into leading a global platform engineering team, delivering secure, scalable identity services and 24/7 incident response.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Cybersecurity, or related field.
• 10+ years designing or leading enterprise-scale IAM platforms.
• Deep expertise with Entra ID/Azure AD and Google Cloud IAM.
• Experience across IGA, CIAM, PAM, Authentication/Federation, and workload identity.
• Leadership in large-scale enterprise transformation programs.
• Strong understanding of Zero Trust and modern identity security.
• Familiarity with OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, FIDO2, SAML, SPIFFE, OPA, and related tech.
• Proven AI/automation use to improve engineering, operations, and security.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute Ford’s enterprise IAM strategy and multi-year roadmap.
• Shape identity as a platform enabling growth, UX, and innovation.
• Drive Zero Trust adoption across workforce, dealers, suppliers, customers, and workloads.
• Partner with cybersecurity, privacy, compliance and tech leaders to strengthen resilience.
• Lead modernization of identity platforms using cloud-native architectures and automation.
• Manage 24/7 global operations for IAM platforms delivering always-on experiences.
• Build and mentor a global platform engineering team and communicate with executives.
