Job summary

Archer, in collaboration with Kainos, is seeking a Lead Platform Engineer (Consultant) to lead teams in designing, automating, building, and optimizing modern digital service platforms. This role emphasizes leadership, customer interaction, and a strong DevOps mindset within a fast-paced environment.

You will mentor engineers, interact with customers, and promote a DevOps culture while applying the latest cloud and automation practices in fast-paced projects.

Qualifications

• Strong verbal and written communications skills to explain technical design to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proven experience of team leadership and supporting a DevOps culture in delivering and/or supporting complex projects.
• Significant expertise in designing, building, testing, automating, monitoring and improving reliability of modern digital service platforms in production.
• Experience with Continuous Delivery and automation for releasing software, including platform orchestration with configuration management tools.
• Experience building and/or supporting modern digital service platforms including architecture, design, estimation, planning and MVP iteration.
• Experience with Site Reliability Engineering tooling and processes to manage and improve platform services.
• Experience using public cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) to solve business problems.
