Job summary

Archer in partnership with Planet Technologies seeks a Cloud Consultant to drive Azure and AWS cloud initiatives for public sector projects. You will support architecture, security, and operations across Linux-based environments in both AWS and Azure, with emphasis on scalable, secure cloud solutions.

Ideal candidates have strong Linux administration skills and hands-on experience with cloud governance, migration, and DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of Linux OS and related systems.
• AWS cloud experience and expertise.
• Azure cloud experience and expertise.
• Experience with core cloud platforms: compute, storage, networking, IAM, security/compliance, federation.
• Experience with AWS or Azure Gov environments is preferred.
• Kubernetes and containers experience is desirable.
• Governance experience is preferred.
• Linux admin experience including patching and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Surface and analyze customer business requirements.
• Translate requirements into an architectural design and influence deployment of key infrastructure components.
• Design, construct, configure, and maintain AWS subscriptions/tenants.
• Plan and execute end-to-end implementation of target workloads.
• CI/CD development pipeline work.
• Troubleshoot AWS and Linux issues as SME.
• Cost and performance optimization of server and cloud resources.
• Maintain understanding of Azure technologies and stay current with new Azure capabilities.
• Assist clients with exploration, setup, and support of multiple Azure technologies.
• Perform special projects as assigned.
