Job summary

RTB House is seeking a Platform Engineering leader to guide the Bidding Platform stack. You will mentor 8–10 engineers and shape platform vision across deployment, monitoring, and reliability in a high‑volume, low‑latency environment.

You will own cross‑team platform rollouts, set clear usage contracts, and base decisions on data while enabling self‑service tools for other engineering teams. Remote work options available for this role in a scalable ad tech setting.

Qualifications

2+ years in a technical leadership role (Team Lead / Engineering Manager).
Hands-on background in distributed systems, deployment, monitoring and databases.
Strong knowledge of concurrent programming and distributed systems.
Ability to drive cross-team platform rollouts with clear usage contracts.
C1-level English and Polish fluency.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and grow a team of ~8–10 engineers, fostering technical excellence.
Own the vision and roadmap for the platform layer of the Bidding Platform—planning for scalability, reliability, and security.
Define evolving scope as the platform grows and form multiple platform teams over time.
Delegate ownership of platforms areas (monitoring, deployment, security) to senior engineers.
Deliver self‑service platforms with clear usage contracts and governance.
Base decisions on data and participate in IT-wide capacity planning.
Own the framework for dispatching on‑call alarms and reduce noise.
Drive cross‑team technical rollouts by enabling other teams rather than doing all work yourself.
