You will mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and drive adoption of modern DevOps, SRE, and platform practices to enable scalable infrastructure and reliable deployments.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in SRE or platform engineering.
  • Experience leading DevOps/automation initiatives.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD, monitoring, and reliability practices.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and champion DevOps practices and platform engineering initiatives.
  • Drive improvements in deployment frequency, MTTR, and lead time for changes.
  • Partner with architects to provision infrastructure and deploy applications at scale.
  • Establish reusable patterns, standards, and platform components for engineering teams.
  • Document architectural decisions and best practices.
  • Improve developer experience by removing bottlenecks and increasing productivity.
  • Own and evaluate the developer productivity toolchain including CI/CD platforms.

Job description

The Senior Platform Engineer leads the design and delivery of platform engineering solutions while driving strategic improvements to developer experience across the organization. This role serves as a technical leader, architect, mentor, and escalation point for platform engineering initiatives. The engineer will lead complex automation efforts, architect self-service infrastructure and application delivery capabilities, establish engineering standards, and drive adoption of modern DevOps, SRE, and platform engineering practices.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and champion DevOps practices, automation strategy, and platform engineering initiatives across the organization.
  • Drive improvements related to:
    • Deployment Frequency
    • Change Failure Rate
    • Mean Time to Recovery (MTTR)
    • Lead Time for Changes
  • Partner with architects and engineering teams to provision infrastructure and deploy applications at scale.
  • Establish reusable patterns, standards, frameworks, and platform components that can be leveraged by engineering teams.
  • Document architectural decisions, trade-offs, and best practices.
  • Improve developer experience by identifying pain points, removing bottlenecks, and increasing engineering productivity.
  • Lead complex workstreams, define requirements, establish acceptance criteria, and drive execution.
  • Operate effectively in ambiguous environments and help teams navigate change.
  • Own and evaluate the developer productivity toolchain, including CI/CD platforms and deployment automation.
  • Drive adoption of modern engineering practices and tooling across the organization.
  • Define and maintain Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLIs).
  • Lead incident response activities, facilitate blameless postmortems, and drive platform reliability improvements.
  • Improve observability, monitoring, and operational excellence.
  • Mentor engineers at all levels through technical leadership, design reviews, architecture reviews, and coaching.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and team development initiatives.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Technology, Business, or a related field and 8+ years of relevant experience

OR

Equivalent applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
