J&T Business Consulting seeks a Platform Engineer in Columbia, MD to design, build, and maintain internal developer platforms and automation pipelines for rapid software delivery.

You will automate with Ansible, strengthen CI/CD processes, and boost observability with Prometheus and Grafana while upholding security and compliance.

Required TS/SCI with Polygraph; BA/BS plus 10+ years of relevant experience, or 14 years of platform engineering in lieu of a degree; strong Linux administration skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 14 years of Platform Engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
• Strong Linux systems administration experience.
• Hands-on Ansible for configuration management and automation.

Responsibilities

• Platform design, deployment, and maintenance of internal developer platforms.
• Automate operational workflows and CI/CD pipelines with Ansible.
• Monitor infrastructure health and performance using observability tools.
• Troubleshoot and resolve platform- and environment-level defects.
• Enforce security controls and regulatory compliance across environments.
• Collaborate with software teams to optimize deployment workflows.
