Job summary

CACI International Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer in the United States (Hampton, VA) to design, implement, and support enterprise Cross Domain Solution platforms enabling secure data sharing across classified and unclassified environments for DoD missions.

The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI clearance, 5+ years' experience in RHEL administration and VMware, and strong DoD 8140 certification. You will work with cybersecurity teams and operations staff to ensure secure, reliable CDS

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with eligibility.
• BA/BS degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in RHEL Administration.
• Minimum 5 years' experience with VMware.
• Minimum 5 years' experience applying security patches to Linux systems.
• Current DoD 8140 cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+).
• Strong problem solving and customer service orientation.
• Broad experience with hardware, OS, software apps and networking.
• Ability to work proactively and collaboratively with clients.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and maintain enterprise CDS platforms for secure data transfer.
• Administer and configure UI apps and external services for CDS.
• Manage and maintain user accounts across environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting for platform health.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to meet DoD policies and accreditation.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues and support end users.
• Automate deployment processes for consistency and efficiency.
• Document architectures, procedures, and workflows.
