Job summary

SharpenCX is seeking a Platform Engineer to scale and evolve the infrastructure powering our cloud-native SaaS platform. You’ll work with the Platform Engineering Lead and other teams to design, build, and maintain systems, tools, and workflows that keep product development fast, reliable, and secure.

This role emphasizes automation, observability, and DevOps culture, with opportunities to grow into technical leadership.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience as a platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineer.
• Hands-on experience with AWS and infrastructure-as-code tools (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
• Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and tracing tools like Grafana or OpenTelemetry.
• Comfortable working with containerized applications in ECS, EKS, or similar environments.
• Solid scripting or programming experience in TypeScript, Go, Python, or Bash.
• A bias for automation and a mindset of continual improvement.
• Experience using AI to automate and streamline workflows.

Responsibilities

• Help design, build, and maintain AWS-based infrastructure using IaC tools.
• Build internal tooling and developer experience improvements to reduce friction.
• Contribute to observability and incident response strategy.
• Participate in on‑call rotations and refine operational excellence practices.
• Collaborate with developers, QA, and security to ensure stable, compliant, and cost-efficient infra.
• Support adoption of DevOps practices and participate in architectural discussions for new services.
