Job summary

HUD is hiring a Platform Engineer to own the reliability, scale, and developer experience of our core infrastructure. You will balance production infra with backend engineering, shaping service architecture, queues, databases, APIs, and safe deployments.

Expect deep work across AWS, Kubernetes, Terraform, CI/CD, observability, and backend services to improve speed, cost, and engineer productivity. Relocation and visa support available.

Qualifications

• Owned production cloud infrastructure for a high-availability platform.
• Deep AWS/container experience with Terraform, Kubernetes, Docker.
• Experience with CI/CD, observability, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Own production uptime, latency, provisioning speed, and incident response.
• Build and maintain AWS infrastructure with Terraform, Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and related tools.
• Design and improve backend/platform systems for scale and reliability.
• Define dashboards, alerts, logs, traces, and runbooks for rapid resolution.
• Create CI/CD, deployment workflows, and environment management.
• Write clean code to automate systems and internal tooling.
