Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Platform Engineer to design and run Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across on-premise and hybrid cloud environments. You will build CI/CD pipelines, automate infrastructure, and ensure security and governance for mission-critical workloads in SCIF spaces.

The role requires U.S. Citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly or the ability to obtain one, plus extensive hands-on OpenShift and DevOps experience.

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship and active TS/SCI with CI poly or ability to obtain
• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or related field
• OpenShift production experience including lifecycle, upgrades, operators, node pools, ingress
• Infra automation using Ansible, Terraform, scripting, or GitOps
• Experience with CI/CD tools: Argo CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI
• Monitoring, incident response, capacity planning, runbook development
• Able to work with geographically distributed teams and communicate clearly
• Willingness to work in SCIF environment with on-call or after-hours support

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across on-premise and hybrid cloud
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized app delivery
• Implement infrastructure as code and automation
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents
• Develop platform tooling, automation, and self-service capabilities
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations to improve usability and reliability
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards
• Communicate with SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts effectively
