Job summary

Vantor Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer with strong experience in Kubernetes and OpenShift to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available platforms.

You will enable development teams through robust platform services, automation, and best practices in a mission-driven environment. The ideal candidate has 14+ years in technical roles, hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift, and a focus on DevSecOps.

Qualifications

• Must be a U.S. Citizen and hold an active TS/SCI with CI poly (or willingness to obtain)
• Minimum of 14 years of total professional experience in a technical support role
• Demonstrated experience with DevSecOps
• Production Kubernetes experience with OpenShift
• Container tech proficiency (Docker or CRI-O)
• Experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI)
• Experience with open source and custom app deployments
• Ability to work with distributed teams
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• Willingness to work in a SCIF environment at Herndon, VA; Westminster, CO; or St. Louis, MO
• Degree or equivalent technical field experience

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage Kubernetes and OpenShift clusters across cloud and on‑prem environments
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support containerized application delivery
• Implement infrastructure as code
• Monitor platform performance, availability, and security; respond to incidents and optimize systems
• Develop and maintain platform tooling, automation, and self‑service capabilities
• Collaborate with development, security, and operations teams to improve platform usability and reliability
• Ensure compliance with organizational security and governance standards
• Communicate with multidisciplinary SAFe Agile teams and articulate technical concepts effectively
