Job summary

Nexcess ищет инженера по приватному облаку для реализации и поддержки инфраструктуры в среде Nutanix и VMware. Ваша роль охватит полный цикл от спецификации до развёртывания, тестирования, мониторинга и поддержки в продуктивной среде.

Требуется 5+ лет опыта в администрировании Nutanix и мульти-арендных окружениях, знание виртуализации, сетей и Linux; приветствуется VMware и автоматизация. Готовность к дежурствам и работе в международной команде приветствуется.

Qualifications

• 5+ лет администрирования Nutanix, включая первоначальный дизайн кластера, развёртывание и настройку.
• 5+ лет работы в мульти-арендных Nutanix окружениях: установка, администрирование, обслуживание и управление жизненным циклом.
• Сильное понимание виртуализации, вычислительных ресурсов, хранения, сетей и производственной инфраструктуры.
• Опыт построения и поддержки высокодоступных приватных облаков/виртуализированных сред.
• Умение участвовать в дежурной смене и оперативно реагировать на инциденты.

Responsibilities

• Владение функционалом платформы end-to-end в домене Private Cloud Solutions.
• Обеспечение прохождения работ от спецификации до внедрения, тестирования, развёртывания, мониторинга и поддержки.
• Проектирование, развёртывание и обслуживание приватной облачной инфраструктуры.
• Построение и эксплуатация мульти-арендных Nutanix окружений.
• Стабилизация конфигураций, автоматизация повторяющихся задач и снижение операционного риска.
• Обеспечение безопасных изменений через валидацию и тестирование перед продакшеном.
• Использование инструментов ИИ для реализации и аудита с сохранением качества.

Задачи

• Own platform features end to end within the Private Cloud Solutions domain
• Take work from specification through implementation, testing, deployment, monitoring, and ongoing production support across Nutanix and VMware environments
• Design, deploy, and maintain private cloud infrastructure
• Build and operate multi-tenant Nutanix environments
• Support cluster design, deployment, administration, lifecycle management, and maintenance in shared production environments
• Improve platform reliability and operational efficiency by automating repetitive work, standardizing configurations, and reducing operational risk
• Translate requirements into technical specifications, identify dependencies, capacity needs, failure scenarios, and operational risks, and resolve ambiguity before implementation
• Verify platform changes before production by validating them, exercising failure scenarios, and providing evidence that they are safe and production-ready
• Use AI-assisted engineering tools for implementation, automation, and review while remaining accountable for the quality and operability of the result
• Review other engineers’ infrastructure and technical changes, identify risks, and provide actionable feedback
• Participate in the on-call rotation, respond to incidents, document root causes and follow-up actions, and reduce operational toil
• Make safe, incremental improvements in complex or legacy environments and improve their documentation and instrumentation
• Mentor other engineers by sharing technical knowledge, explaining design and operational decisions, and supporting less experienced engineers through implementation and review
• Coordinate cross-team dependencies and work with relevant engineers to avoid delivery blockers
• Declare risks and timelines in writing, flag potential delays early with evidence, and deliver commitments at the agreed quality
• Understand the customer and business value of the work and clarify requirements before implementation

Требования

• 5+ Years of Nutanix administration experience, including initial cluster design, deployment, and setup
• 5+ Years of experience with Nutanix multi-tenant environments, including installation, administration, maintenance, and lifecycle management
• Strong understanding of virtualization, compute, storage, networking, and production infrastructure
• Experience building, operating, and supporting highly available private cloud or virtualized environments
• Experience troubleshooting complex issues across multiple infrastructure layers
• Experience planning and executing infrastructure changes in production environments
• Experience participating in an on-call rotation and responding to production incidents
• Ability to work effectively in unfamiliar or legacy environments and make safe, incremental improvements
• Hands-on experience with AI-assisted engineering tools in day-to-day technical work
• Clear written communication skills and ability to work effectively in a distributed team across multiple time zones
• Будет плюсом: 5+ years of Linux administration experience, VMware administration and virtualization experience, infrastructure automation and configuration management, multi-tenant private cloud platforms, managed hosting, cloud platforms or other high-availability service environments, reviewing infrastructure changes, mentoring other engineers
