Job summary

Axiom Space in Georgia seeks a Platform Engineer II (M365/Azure Administrator) to design, build, and operate the Microsoft 365 tenant and Azure infrastructure used by our engineering and business teams. You will drive automation, identity governance, and platform reliability, while maintaining working familiarity with AWS to support cross‑platform workloads.

Qualifications

The majority of that experience should be spent administering Microsoft 365 and/or Azure in a production environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, 7+ years of experience, or an equivalent combination.
Track record of making things happen in ambiguous, fast-moving environments.
Uses good judgement to problem-solve proactively, positively impacting hard challenges.
Demonstrated organization skills to meet tight deadlines with high-quality results.

Responsibilities

Administers and evolves Microsoft 365 and Azure environments, including identity, networking, and compute.
Defines governance for SharePoint Online and OneDrive for Business and performs data loss prevention tasks.
Escalation point for platform architecture, systems design, and complex technical issues.
Manages identity and access (Entra ID, AWS IAM) with least-privilege access.
Builds and maintains containers/orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes/AKS) for internal workloads.
Oversees end-user devices (Intune/Jamf) and on‑prem VMware virtualization as part of hybrid IT.
Implements monitoring (Azure Monitor), logging, and observability for platform health.
Develops disaster recovery and backup automation; tests business continuity plans.
Creates Power Automate flows and Power BI dashboards to automate processes and reporting.
Contributes to security program and supports cross‑functional initiatives.
Maintains working familiarity with AWS to support cross-platform workloads.
Communicates project progress and risks to stakeholders; supports agile project management.
Performs additional duties as assigned.
