Job summary

Octopus Energy Group is seeking a Platform Engineer II to help design, build, and operate scalable platform services. You will work with senior engineers on CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and developer tooling to enable fast, reliable software delivery.

You will contribute to incident responses, improve observability, and collaborate across teams to translate needs into robust platform solutions, while growing toward ownership of larger platform areas.

Qualifications

• Hands-on AWS experience and cloud infra
• Experience operating production systems in distributed/cloud environments
• Familiar with security best practices and automation
• Willingness to learn from and collaborate with senior engineers

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building and improving platform services, write code and support deployments
• Collaborate with senior engineers to improve scalability and reliability
• Maintain core systems like CI/CD, cloud infra, and monitoring
• Participate in incident response and retrospectives for learning
• Translate needs into practical platform solutions with engineers
• Own tasks and small projects, growing to larger platform ownership
