Octopus Energy is expanding its Global Platform Engineering team in the US to build and maintain core infrastructure, tooling, and services that empower engineering teams to move fast and safely.

You will contribute to designing scalable platform solutions, improve automation, and support cloud infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and observability. A hands-on engineer with curiosity will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with AWS is required.
• Exposure to other major cloud providers is nice to have.
• Experience contributing to production systems in distributed or cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to building and improving platform services, writing code, reviewing changes, and supporting deployments.
• Work with senior engineers to design scalable, reliable platform solutions.
• Help maintain core systems such as CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and monitoring.
• Participate in incident response and retrospectives to improve processes.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate needs into practical platform solutions.
• Take ownership of tasks and smaller projects, with growth toward larger platform areas.
