Iterable is seeking a Software Engineer II on the Developer Platform Team to strengthen the Scala, Bazel, and CI foundations used by our engineers to build, test, and ship services.

You will own moderate‑complexity projects, contribute to the Bazel build platform and core Scala libraries, and partner with product teams to reduce developer toil using AI‑driven tooling such as Cursor and Claude. This role blends coding, build systems, and developer experience.

Qualifications

• Solid programming background with experience in Scala/Java/Kotlin.
• Experience with build systems and CI tools.
• Ability to debug and fix complex build/test failures.

Responsibilities

• Improve core developer workflow for compile, test, package, and validate changes.
• Contribute to shared engineering foundations and service development practices.
• Make CI faster and more reliable while preserving quality.
• Create tooling, automation, and documentation to reduce developer pain.
• Apply AI to engineering problems using Cursor and Claude.
• Collaborate with service teams to understand needs and promote adoption.
