Job summary

Teamworks is seeking a Platform Engineer II to support day-to-day operations of our AWS infrastructure and drive improvements to observability and stability as we scale.

You'll own EKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, and IAM, build reusable Terraform modules and Helm charts, and collaborate with application teams to translate platform changes into actionable guidance. The role includes on-call ownership and working with Datadog to improve environment visibility.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in platform, infrastructure, or DevOps engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Linux administration in production environments.
• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS preferred), Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI).
• Experience deploying and managing infrastructure in AWS.
• Strong cross-functional communication skills to translate platform changes.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day operations and maintenance of the AWS environment (EKS, EC2, RDS/Aurora, ElastiCache, S3, IAM).
• Manage deployments of new features and fixes with application teams.
• Build and maintain Terraform modules, Helm charts, and GitLab CI templates.
• Diagnose infrastructure issues and evaluate blast radius before proposing solutions.
• Partner with application teams to translate platform changes into actionable guidance.
• Drive observability and stability improvements using Datadog and participate in on-call rotation.
