Job summary

Pacific Life is seeking a Platform Engineer to join the enterprise technology team in the United States. You will help build, test, deploy, and maintain workflows, automations, and API integrations to support self-service and reduce incidents.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 0–4 years of IT experience, with exposure to enterprise platforms and governance concepts. A focus on data-driven insights and collaboration will be essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in IT or a related field.
• 0–4 years of enterprise IT experience supporting end-user services, digital workplace capabilities, or automation.
• Exposure to enterprise platforms, including configuration, access management, and integrations.
• Foundational experience building or maintaining scripts, API integrations, workflows, or service interactions using PowerShell, Python, HTTP calls, or similar methods.
• Familiarity with identity, access, and governance concepts, including RBAC, controls, and secure admin practices.

Responsibilities

• Build, test, deploy, and maintain reusable workflows and automations to reduce manual work and improve consistency.
• Develop and maintain operational scripts and API interactions under guidance with secure practices.
• Support platform administration including access models, configurations, and integrations.
• Contribute to deployment, lifecycle management, and improvement of platform components.
• Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to measure platform health and business impact.
• Translate technical activity into actionable insights and training materials.
