Job summary

Apex Systems in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Platform Engineer to join our client team. The role combines Linux administration, scripting, software development, and configuration management to develop and manage DevOps deployment automation.

Candidates must be able to obtain DoD Secret clearance, be a U.S. citizen, and have 5+ years experience with Linux, Ansible, Python, and Git. The position is onsite and requires work in Kanban/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of a combination of Linux, scripting/software development, and configuration management experience.
• Technical proficiency in Red Hat Enterprise Linux ecosystem, Palo Alto firewalls, and Windows Server/Client OS.
• Proficiency in Ansible, Python, Bash, and other shell scripting.
• Experience with revision control software such as Bitbucket, Git, GitLab, or GitLab CI.
• Experience in the development and management of DevOps deployment automation processes.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot solutions across the tech stack including networks, storage, compute, and application layers.
• Experience working in Kanban and Scrum environments.
• Ability to obtain DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certification (e.g., Security+, CASP, CISSP) within 90 days of the start date.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
