Job summary

Captivation Software seeks a Platform Engineer to lead deployment of production systems across three networks. The role covers Kubernetes-based deployment, and code troubleshooting in Java Spring backend and Vue.js frontend.

Hybrid role requiring hands-on containerization, deployment pipelines, and collaboration with DevOps and system engineers to align with RAD architecture. U.S. citizenship with Top Secret/SCI clearance preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Kubernetes deployment and management.
• Experience with Java/Spring (Spring Boot) backend development.
• Frontend experience with Vue.js or a similar framework (React/Angular).
• Strong understanding of Docker and container technologies.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and deploying distributed web apps (GitLab CI/CD).
• Experience with Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Multi-Network Deployment: Deploy the RAD system to three network environments via Kubernetes and adapt configurations.
• Deployment Process Engineering: Design and document a repeatable deployment pipeline for all targets.
• Application Modification: Modify components built with Java Spring (backend) and Vue.js (frontend) as needed.
• Environment Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve issues across infrastructure, middleware, and app layers during standup and stabilization.
• Collaboration: Align deployment practices with the RAD architecture with DevOps and engineers.
