Job summary

Bioscope.AI is hiring a Platform Engineer in Carmel, IN (Hybrid) to own our cloud infrastructure, user management, and authentication systems. You’ll run billing pipelines, CI/CD, and AI tooling, while protecting PHI data and steering end-to-end platform improvements.

You’ll collaborate with the infra lead, speed deployments, and contribute to product features touching the platform. The team values pragmatic tradeoffs, careful changes, and strong engineering fundamentals.

Qualifications

• Ownership and follow-through: own, ship, run, and improve what you build.
• Infrastructure experience: run production infra in AWS or similar and manage via IaC.
• Careful execution: implement changes in production without causing outages.
• Strong engineering fundamentals: understand networking, IAM, and debugging a distributed system.
• Full-stack range: contribute beyond infra, especially backend, with frontend involvement.
• AI fluency: use or learn AI coding tools daily.
• Clear communication: explain tradeoffs and communicate during incidents.

Responsibilities

• Own the infrastructure: build and maintain cloud infra as code (AWS), optimize cost, security, compliance, reliability.
• Run the core platform: manage practice accounts, users, login, billing for subscriptions and lab tests; debug and extend as product grows.
• Keep the team shipping: maintain CI/CD pipelines, remove blockers, improve tooling.
• Improve AI tooling: build and maintain tooling around AI coding agents.
• Protect PHI: design access controls, secrets handling, logging with HIPAA in mind.
• Own problems end to end: triage, fix, test, ship and follow up with customers; cover for infra lead.
• Pitch in on product: help ship platform-touching features when needed.
