Job summary

BIOS Life, a Boston-based healthcare technology company, seeks a Staff Security & Platform Engineer to own cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and security foundations. You’ll manage AWS and GCP environments, IaC (Terraform), CI/CD, DevSecOps, observability, reliability, and security ops.

This is a hybrid role based in Cambridge with a minimum of three days onsite, collaborating with Product Engineering and AI teams to build secure, scalable infrastructure for clinical apps and data

Qualifications

• Significant hands-on experience designing, operating, and securing production cloud infrastructure.
• Strong AWS experience and meaningful GCP experience (or deep expertise in one with cross‑cloud ability).
• Experience with Terraform or similar IaC, automation, and tooling.
• Experience designing and operating CI/CD, production deployment, and GitHub admin, including security controls.
• Solid Linux, networking, and cloud infrastructure fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Own cloud infrastructure architecture, security, and operational management for AWS and GCP.
• Develop and expand Infrastructure as Code, automation, and reusable platform patterns.
• Define and enforce security, monitoring, and cost visibility across environments.
• Lead CI/CD improvements and security scanning integrated into dev workflows.
• Own observability, disaster recovery, and incident readiness for BIOS platforms.
