Coinbase is hiring Software Engineers for the Developer Infrastructure group. You will build and operate core developer-infrastructure services like CI, build systems, deployment tooling, and test infrastructure at scale.

You will contribute to reliability, security, and observability while collaborating across Coinbase engineers to deliver platform improvements. This role emphasizes end-to-end ownership and production-readiness from day one.

Qualifications

• 2+ years building and operating production software.
• Experience with distributed systems and production ownership of backend/platform features.
• Focus on reliability, security, and observability in production.

Responsibilities

• Build, ship, and operate core developer-infrastructure features (CI/build, deployment orchestration, test infrastructure).
• Improve metrics like build/CI wall time, deploy speed, and test feedback.
• Own components end-to-end from implementation to monitoring, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Write high-quality, production-ready code with observability in mind.
• Collaborate with Coinbase engineering teams to translate pain points into platform improvements.
• Contribute to technical design discussions and drive own work to completion.
• Share knowledge and raise the quality bar through code reviews.
