Job summary

Storyblocks is hiring a Platforms Engineer to build and scale the AWS infrastructure powering its microservices platform. You will develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines, create reusable Helm charts and deployment templates, and manage infrastructure as code with a focus on reliability and developer experience.

You will collaborate with product engineering teams, translate platform concepts into practical guidance, and apply AI to accelerate work while maintaining strong technical judgment.

Qualifications

• Comfortable in AWS and core services.
• Used observability/monitoring tools to understand system behavior.
• Handy with at least one scripting or programming language.
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code such as Terraform, or eagerness to learn.
• Helped run and scale infrastructure and grow into bigger, high-traffic systems.
• Built or maintained CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and scale AWS infrastructure for the microservices platform.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for fast, reliable, and safe shipping.
• Create templated configurations (Helm charts, CircleCI/gh actions) for standardized deployments.
• Manage infrastructure through code with discipline.
• Improve observability and monitoring for production debugging.
• Collaborate with product engineering to reduce friction for day-to-day work.
• Lead complex platform projects end to end as you grow.
