Job summary

Intercontinental Exchange (ICE) is seeking a Software Engineer for Infrastructure Development & Automation. The role focuses on building and maintaining automation platforms, monitoring tooling, and internal development projects within the Infrastructure/Operations vertical.

You will learn the enterprise SDLC processes and collaborate with multiple teams to deliver secure, well-documented software. A strong foundation in CS and programming is required.

Qualifications

• CS degree or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in at least one language (Python/TypeScript/Go/C++).
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Self-organizing with proactive task management.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain software interacting with servers, storage, networks, tools, databases, and user input.
• Gather requirements from relevant business owners.
• Create diagrams to explain solutions.
• Keep project stakeholders updated on progress.
• Ensure secure data sources and SDLC-aligned release processes.
• Collaborate with other teams to align new software with needs.
• Write unit and integration tests for reliability.
• Train end-users on new tooling.
• Grow toward ownership of tools over time.
