Job summary

Mural is seeking a Platform Engineer to advance the performance and efficiency of our software development lifecycle. You will maintain and evolve systems while designing automation tools and optimized workflows to help developers build, test, and deploy rapidly and reliably.

You will collaborate with platform engineers and software teams to streamline CI/CD, tackle bottlenecks, and deliver scalable, observable platform capabilities that improve developer productivity and system reliability.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in backend, integrations or CI/CD pipelines
• Experience building reusable components and libraries with scalable architecture
• Excellent communication skills and ability to document solutions
• Strong ownership over critical problem areas
• Understanding of Linux, Docker and CI tools (e.g., Github Actions)
• Experience designing, implementing and documenting API services
• Knowledge of NodeJS/Typescript ecosystem is a plus
• Knowledge of Kubernetes, Python, Golang, Terraform and Azure Cloud is a plus
• Experience managing stateful Kubernetes workloads and reliability improvements
• Ability to design and program custom operators to automate platform workflows
• Experience designing AI-powered platform capabilities
• Data-driven decision making

Responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain the build infrastructure for a large Typescript and NodeJS codebase
• Collaborate with developers to refine CI/CD processes and best practices
• Identify bottlenecks and automate within the development pipeline to speed up delivery
• Develop and maintain scalable platform features ensuring reliability and scalability
• Support engineers across the org by training and assisting with tool usage
