OpenAI, Inc. is seeking a Software Engineer for the Agent Platform in San Francisco, CA. You will help build and scale services powering agent execution, tool usage, and integrations, collaborating with product, research, and infra teams.

The role emphasizes reliability, observability, and secure, efficient platform design. You should have experience with large-scale backend systems, APIs, and cloud infrastructures, and enjoy delivering production-ready services in fast-moving environments.

Qualificações

Experience building large-scale backend services or infrastructure.
Ability to design and evolve shared platforms and APIs.
Capable of turning early prototypes into reliable services at scale.
Strong understanding of system performance, concurrency, failure modes, and resource management.

Responsabilidades

Build and operate production services powering agent execution and tool usage.
Design APIs and platform abstractions for product teams to ship agentic experiences.
Develop orchestration systems for agent execution, state, resources, retries, and recovery.
Improve platform reliability, latency, and efficiency via observability and capacity planning.
Collaborate with product, research, security, and infra teams to bring capabilities to production.
Own systems end-to-end from design to rollout, monitoring and maintenance.
