Job summary

Bestow Inc. is seeking a Platform Engineer II to automate cloud resources, build developer tooling, and improve product manageability while collaborating with product engineering teams.

You will automate cloud infrastructure with Terraform, manage Kubernetes and PostgreSQL, and strengthen observability and reliability.

This role is fully remote in the United States and includes on-call rotations to maintain system resilience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with cloud platforms (GCP preferred) and IaC tooling to automate resources.
• Experience building and operating scalable platforms with observability.
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash for automation.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and container tech (Docker/Kubernetes).

Responsibilities

Job description

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Platform Engineer II will automate cloud resources, implement developer tooling, and enhance product manageability while collaborating with product engineering teams.

Key responsibilities

• Automate cloud infrastructure using tools like Terraform and manage the software platform, including Kubernetes and PostgreSQL
• Collaborate with product engineers to identify and address observability gaps, improving developer experience and operational performance
• Participate in on-call rotations for incident response and perform blameless root-cause analysis to maintain system reliability

Required qualifications

• Proficiency with GCP or other cloud platforms
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi
• Strong scripting skills in languages such as Python or Bash
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or CircleCI
• Understanding of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes
