PLATFORM ENGINEER – REMOTE
A leading telecom client is seeking a Platform Engineer to support a critical infrastructure migration project from VMware to Wind River. This is a remote, long-term contract position aligned to MST hours. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with Kubernetes, and VMware environments experience.
Must-Have Skills:
7+ years in platform engineering, DevOps, or systems engineering
Strong hands-on experience with VMware vSphere and vCenter
Proficiency in Linux systems engineering
Experience with containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
Background in the telecom industry
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
Collaborate with internal project teams to support the Wind River migration
Administer and maintain KubeVirt environments within Kubernetes clusters
Conduct regular health and performance checks on virtual machines
Manage Rancher for Kubernetes orchestration, access control, and lifecycle management
Operate and maintain VMware vCenter and vSphere platforms for provisioning and management
(This position has the potential to convert to a full-time role. If converted, candidates may be required to relocate to the client’s location in either Colorado or Wyoming)
