As a Senior Platform Engineer, you’ll focus on creating reliable, high-performance systems that power our fraud detection platform. Your work will ensure that our real-time data systems and APIs are resilient, fast, and scalable under load.

This role emphasizes hands-on engineering and system-level problem-solving. You’ll be responsible for designing and optimizing real-time pipelines, debugging distributed systems, and building high-throughput microservices to support billions of data points. Whether tackling latency issues, scaling APIs, or implementing new observability tools, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the reliability of our platform.

You’ll collaborate with a close-knit, highly skilled team of engineers to design solutions for real-world problems, contributing to everything from API development to infrastructure automation. This is an opportunity to take ownership of platform challenges, solve complex technical problems, and ensure the systems you build can handle the demands of real-time fraud detection.

Ideal Candidate:
Our ideal candidate is passionate about building reliable systems and thrives in high-performance environments. You are naturally curious, enjoy deep-diving into complex problems, and excel at identifying and resolving issues in real-time systems. You’re a hands-on engineer who combines technical expertise with a proactive approach to problem-solving.Core Responsibilities:

  • Design and optimize real-time data pipelines and streaming systems for low latency and high throughput.
  • Develop scalable microservices to handle high volumes of requests with reliability and fault tolerance.
  • Maintain and enhance real-time data ingestion and delivery systems using tools like Kafka and ClickHouse.
  • Diagnose and resolve issues in distributed systems, optimizing performance across all layers.
  • Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems to ensure platform reliability.
  • Manage infrastructure changes and CI/CD pipelines with a DevOps-first mindset.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and deliver impactful solutions.
  • Document systems and workflows, contributing to process and technology improvements.

Requirements:

  • 6+ years of engineering experience, with a focus on real-time systems and platform engineering.
  • Expertise in building and scaling microservices using Java, Scala, or GoLang.
  • Strong experience with streaming platforms like Kafka and event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency with NoSQL databases such as ClickHouse, Scylla, or Cassandra.
  • Experience with traditional RDBMS systems like MySQL or Postgres.
  • Deep knowledge of debugging distributed systems and diagnosing issues in real-time applications.
  • Strong understanding of networking, including DNS, load balancing, and latency optimization.
  • Expertise in AWS cloud services and deploying cloud- services.
  • Skilled in CI/CD pipelines and containerization tools like Docker, Kubernetes, or ECS.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform.
  • Familiarity with observability tools such as Grafana, Prometheus, or PagerDuty.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to document technical processes clearly.
  • Proficiency in developing and extending APIs which experience thousands of requests per second
  • Experience developing network edge tier systems controlling access to internal customer APIs
  • Experience developing OAuth 2.0-based access control APIs
  • Proficiency developing product features for customer facing data APIs

Nice to Have:

  • Hands on experience working with ML models and AI
  • Background in financial or fintech space with an understanding of fraud
