Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an accomplished software engineering executive to lead transformation into platform-centric technology. You will guide the modernization of the stack, build next-generation cloud platforms, and partner with leaders on SDLC, architecture, and DevSecOps.

You will direct multiple teams across on-prem and cloud environments while shaping the future-state technology strategy. The role requires strong leadership, deep hands-on expertise in .NET, cloud-native development, and

Qualifications

Extensive hands-on experience with C#, .NET, SQL Server, Javascript frameworks (React, Angular, Ember), and designing, building, and implementing RESTful APIs
Familiarity with LAMP stack development
Experience with software project/test/bug management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps)
Familiarity with QA processes and tools (test automation, security testing, load testing, etc.)
Experience with message bus/event streaming (RabbitMQ, Kafka) and NoSQL databases
Experience developing cloud-native apps (Azure, AWS)
Experience with microservices and domain-driven design
Management of a development team of 50+ FTEs
Experience leading offshore engagements/vendors
Experience partnering with product management in an agile SDLC
Experience developing strategic technology roadmaps
Technical leadership from design to delivery
Excellent communication and documentation skills
Ability to create distributed frameworks that leverage .NET
Familiarity with DevOps (CI/CD)
Strong leadership and mentoring skills

Responsibilities

Partner with Technology and business leadership to create and maintain a technology roadmap
Direct development and maintenance of web and desktop apps and migrate to new platforms
Review technical deliverables and provide guidance to teams
Own software development standards and drive adoption
Make tech decisions to drive innovation while controlling risks and costs
Work with Compliance and Information Security to meet standards
Mentor and guide design sessions and cross-team collaboration
Interact with multiple engineering groups, product, operations, IT, vendors and support as needed
Reduce complexity and deliver elegant solutions
Communicate tech recommendations to upper management with justification
