Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking multiple Senior .NET Engineers to elevate our engineering team as we scale a healthcare SaaS platform focused on scheduling and workforce management. You will architect, implement, and maintain high-quality, scalable cloud-native systems with a strong emphasis on performance and reliability.

You should bring 8+ years of .NET experience, deep knowledge of microservices, SignalR, DDD patterns, and Azure cloud services.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A strong individual contributor but also able to coach others.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• In-depth understanding of software engineering design and architectural patterns, including microservice architectures.
• Adept at applying GenAI workflows to enhance development and testing efforts.
• 8+ years’ professional experience with .NET stack (C#, .NET, Entity Framework), SQL, and Redis.
• 3+ years experience with SignalR and Distributed Event Bus.
• 3+ years' experience implementing Domain Driven Design (DDD) patterns.
• 3+ years experience configuring and maintaining Microsoft Azure cloud services.
• Advanced understanding of Git in multi-developer environments.
• Strong familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, ideally in Microsoft DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Help drive technical excellence and standards within the team.
• Develop well-written and documented code in existing and new systems and platforms.
• Support ongoing monitoring, maintenance and support of key infrastructure.
• Design and apply manual tests and test-automation suites to minimize defects.
• Provide sound recommendations on architectural choices leveraging prior experience and goals.
• Develop well-written technical documentation to clarify requirements and improve traceability.
• Apply good practice methodologies and techniques, such as story points, to estimate effort.
• Attend sprint planning and stand-up calls to ensure alignment and troubleshooting support.
• Proactively communicate feedback, issues, risks and status in a timely manner.
• Assist in training and development of other engineers.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, data scientists, business users, project managers, and other engineers to achieve goals.
• Research and learn new technologies as needed to deliver solutions.
• Participate in retrospectives to assess code quality and infrastructure.
