Job summary

MidAmerican Energy Company is seeking Platform Automation Engineers to design and build automation that reduces toil and enables scalable operations across hybrid infrastructure. You will develop tools and services to provision infrastructure, manage deployment pipelines, and streamline environment management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, CS, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum six years in automation, infrastructure, platform, or software engineering.
• Strong programming in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience with Linux and distributed environments.
• Familiarity with infrastructure automation and IaC tooling like Terraform.

Responsibilities

• Identify manual processes across infra, platform, and operations for automation.
• Design and build automation systems to reduce toil and improve reliability.
• Develop tools to provision and manage infrastructure via automated workflows.
• Build automation for consistent operations across hybrid environments.
• Integrate automation with Kubernetes, CI/CD, and Git-based workflows.
