Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Tampa, FL seeks a Platform / Software Engineer to support the USCENTCOM J6 CITS program inside secure environments. You will design, build, automate, and integrate across the enterprise, turning mission requirements into working solutions with automation-first delivery.

You will collaborate with analysts, data engineers, and scientists to deliver end-to-end capability, operating in GitLab CI/CD pipelines and containerized stacks.

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI eligible.
• Journeyman 3+ years of software development and/or automation engineering.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• DoW 8140 baseline certification (e.g., Security+) required.
• Onsite at Tampa; work performed in secure environments.
• U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deploy automations, integrations, and applications across the enterprise toolset — scripting, workflow automation, APIs, and low-code solutions.
• Work as a broad-scope developer across the mission stack — automation, application development, workflow integration, and data movement.
• Automate manual Operations & Maintenance (O&M) processes so operations personnel can execute with less manual effort over time.
• Build and integrate solutions across platforms such as vSphere, ServiceNow, Microsoft 365 / Power Platform, Graph API / Entra ID, and containerized environments (OpenShift / Docker / Kubernetes).
• Develop and maintain code in Git-based pipelines (GitLab); support CI/CD and DevSecOps practices.
• Document solutions and produce release notes and user guides to support handoff and adoption.
