Job summary

Arya Health is looking for a Principal Engineer – Platform to lead architectural decisions and evolve core systems. This hands-on senior leadership role involves working with the CTO to tackle complex architectural challenges while enhancing the performance of multiple teams.

The right candidate will have over 10 years of experience in software engineering, a strong background in backend development, and the vision to uplift engineering standards across the organization.

Qualifications

• Prior principal-level impact in at least one role.
• Designed and operated large-scale distributed systems.
• Strong backend engineering background.
• Excellent architectural judgment.
• Comfortable owning systems end-to-end.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve Arya’s platform architecture across services and data systems.
• Lead technical design for cross-cutting initiatives.
• Identify and eliminate architectural bottlenecks.
• Establish best practices for observability.
• Partner with product and leadership to align strategy.
• Mentor senior engineers and raise technical standards.
