This position will be fully remote and can be hired anywhere in the continental U.S.

We are seeking an accomplished cybersecurity professional with experience in SIEM, Endpoint protection, SOAR, vulnerability tracking and remediation, and cloud security. The Platform Architect combines knowledge of IT security tools with the ability to scale and utilize these tools to create a secure environment for Optiv Security, Inc's threat hunters, security analysts, and security engineers. The role requires staying current with the evolving digital and cybersecurity landscape and working with security personnel to employ appropriate tools to solve customer issues.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide expert support and technical mentoring to the implementation team.
• Maintain comprehensive knowledge of IT Security Operations and DevOps practices.
• Identify and develop opportunities to leverage ServiceNow, Kubernetes, and AWS Cloud Services.
• Deliver hands-on configuration, development, and integration services, ensuring project deliverables meet quality standards.
• Plan and oversee testing phases, including designing testing work products and leading remediation cycles.
• Support practice development, including creating practice intellectual property (IP).
• Develop and present business cases to senior prospects and clients.
• Create and deliver tailored presentations and product demonstrations.
• Scope and deliver Proof of Concept / Proof of Value engagements.
• Respond to RFI/RFP documents.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on how Optiv's Platform operates.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher, or equivalent experience/certifications, preferably in STEM, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, etc.
• Over 10 years of experience in the IT industry.
• Mandatory experience with Cloud (AWS, Azure), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation), and Python.
• Mandatory experience with ServiceNow, ETL pipelines, and automation tools (SaltStack, Ansible, Chef).
• Mandatory experience with secure DevOps practices (Git, CI/CD, Cloud Security).
• Preferred experience with Elasticsearch, StreamSets, OpenFaas, Kubernetes, Kafka.
• Ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
• Background in Incident Response, Vulnerability Management, Endpoint Security, or Network Security is a plus.
