Job summary

EPAM Systems Inc. seeks a Platform Architect to design, operate, and continuously improve a robust cloud platform.

This largely individual contributor role requires ownership and the ability to work independently while collaborating with one other team member and customer stakeholders. The role focuses on cloud native development, VDI/EUC platforms, IaC with Terraform, multi-cloud expansion (AWS, Azure, GCP), and AI-assisted automation using GitHub Copilot or Claude.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in cloud native development.
• At least 2 years in Senior, Lead, Manager, or Owner-level roles.
• Proven track record managing engagements for teams of 5 or more full-time employees.
• Strong hands-on experience with VDI platforms such as Citrix, VMware Horizon, AVD, WorkSpaces or Workspot.
• Solid experience developing Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and remote state management via HCP.
• Fluent English communication at B2 level or higher.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and evolve the cloud platform architecture to support current and future business requirements.
• Own the end-to-end infrastructure lifecycle, including provisioning, upgrades, decommissioning, drift detection, and ongoing operational hygiene.
• Develop and maintain IaC using Terraform, and manage remote state via HCP for VDI/EUC solutions on major platforms.
• Build and maintain CI/CD automation using GitHub Actions to streamline deployment and workflows.
• Apply AI coding assistants and agents to accelerate IaC authoring, troubleshooting, documentation, and automation tasks.
• Explore and integrate AI-driven operational workflows, such as anomaly detection and auto-remediation.
• Collaborate with one other team member and customer stakeholders to drive platform decisions and priorities.
• Support the platform's expansion roadmap into Azure and GCP and physical/bare-metal devices.
