Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance is seeking a Platform Architect to lead end-to-end platform design across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid environments in Boston, MA. You will drive architecture standards, governance, and security with stakeholders across engineering, operations, and business teams.

You will partner with DevOps, Security, and Enterprise Architecture to deliver scalable, resilient platforms, implement IaC pipelines, and ensure compliance while enabling innovation and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• 5-10 years in platform architecture, infrastructure engineering, and platform operations.
• Breadth across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid platforms with automation and security.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), Kubernetes, Docker, and Terraform/Ansible.
• Hands-on with CI/CD, API gateways, service mesh, monitoring and logging.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end platform architecture across cloud, on-prem, and hybrid.
• Define and enforce configuration standards, security controls, and compliance.
• Develop architecture documentation artifacts (diagrams, SOPs).
• Lead platform solution design for resiliency, automation, and observability.
• Collaborate with DevOps to standardize CI/CD pipelines and IaC.
• Participate in architecture review boards and incident diagnostics (Tier 4).
