Job summary

Plymouth Rock Assurance in Boston seeks a Director of Data Products & Engineering to lead the enterprise data lake strategy and end-to-end ingestion, transformation, and delivery pipelines on AWS. You will drive velocity, reliability, and data availability for BI, ML, and AI data services.

You will mentor senior engineers, guide agile delivery, and partner with governance and architecture teams to ensure data products are well-governed, well-documented, and scalable across the organization.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data management or engineering
• 3+ years of senior leadership experience in data/analytics
• Experience with AI/GenAI data needs and data pipelines

Responsibilities

• Mentor senior engineers and managers, perform hands-on technical work, and lead on complex design decisions
• Define processes for operational excellence including resiliency and quality
• Lead research on strategic trends, pilot proofs of concept, and drive innovation
• Develop enterprise data products aligned to business needs and AI/ML use cases
• Prioritize data roadmap and ensure data is structured, accessible, and reusable
