PPL Corporation is seeking a System Architect to digest complex business problems and define architecturally sound tech solutions. This hybrid role requires on‑site presence three days per week at Louisville, Allentown, or Providence and involves leading engineering teams across cloud platforms.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in architecture with hands-on leadership, a deep understanding of microservices, APIs, and modern DevOps practices.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
10+ years of related work experience.
5+ years of leadership experience.
Experience with Agile methodologies and fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of advanced technology architecture and emerging trends.
Ability to translate complex business problems into architecturally sound technical solutions.

Responsibilities

Work in an iterative/Agile environment and be a strong team player.
Provide hands-on application development leadership and expertise in creating technical solutions.
Hire, develop and mentor engineers and set engineering best practices.
Conduct code reviews for system modifications and development.
Deliver end-to-end solutions using innovative approaches to complex design problems.
Plan and develop the Architectural Runway to support new features.
