Job summary

Avalore, LLC is seeking a Platform Architect to own the core platform's technical integrity, scalability, and reliability from Arlington, VA. You will drive the cloud strategy, containerization with Kubernetes, and robust CI/CD pipelines to support a growing suite of solutions.

Ideal candidates have extensive platform experience, strong English communication, and willingness to work in the United States with required security clearances.

Job description

The Platform Architect is the primary internal-facing architect, responsible for the technical integrity, scalability, and reliability of the core WDP infrastructure itself. This person will own the platform's technical roadmap, focusing on non-functional requirements such as performance, high availability, and disaster recovery. They will lead the design and evolution of the WDP's cloud infrastructure, containerization strategy (e.g., Kubernetes), CI/CD pipelines, and core platform services. The Platform Architect ensures that the underlying foundation of the WDP is robust, efficient, and capable of supporting the diverse and growing number of solutions being built upon it.

SECRET Security Clearance Required

Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles) SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security, CCSP,FITSP-O, or GFACT certification (for Senior role) We are actively seeking multiple levels: Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree

Good communication skills, self-starter mindset. Professional proficiency in English is required. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. Work Environment:

Moderate noise (i.e. business office with computers, phone and printers) and /or occasional Loud noise (airfield, large equipment). Ability to sit at a computer terminal for an extended period of time.

Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements.

Salary estimates for this job range from $107,000 - $220,000.
