Job summary

Avalore, LLC is seeking a Cybersecurity Architect to embed security across the War Data Platform, translating RMF, STIGs, and SOC 1 controls into concrete architectural patterns.

The role owns IAM, network zoning, data encryption strategies, and logging/monitoring architecture, ensuring a secure-by-design platform and proactive collaboration with Platform, Data, and Solutions Architects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Security certifications or equivalent experience a plus.

Job description

The Cybersecurity Architect is responsible for embedding security into every layer of the War Data Platform by designing a comprehensive, defense-in-depth security architecture. This person will translate security requirements from the Risk Management Framework (RMF), STIGs, and SOC 1 controls into specific, implementable architectural patterns. They will own the design of the platform's identity and access management (IAM) framework, network security zoning, data encryption strategies (at-rest and in-transit), and logging/monitoring architecture. The Cybersecurity Architect works proactively with the Platform, Data, and Solutions Architects to ensure the WDP is "secure-by-design," not just secured as an afterthought.

• SECRET Security Clearance Required
• CEH, Cloud+, CySA+, GFACT, GSEC, PenTest+, Security+, or SSCP cerification (for Junior / Journeyman roles)
• CISSP-ISSAP, CISSP-ISSEP, GCIA, GCLD, GDSA, or GICSP certification (for Senior role)
• We are actively seeking multiple levels:
• Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree
• Good communication skills, self-starter mindset.
• Professional proficiency in English is required.
• Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications.
