Job summary

Avalore, LLC is seeking a Platform Engineer to develop and maintain the WDP System's data management and analytics platform. You will build core services used by developers and data scientists, focusing on containerization, orchestration, and service meshes to ensure a robust environment for mission-critical tasks.

You will implement security controls, optimize performance, automate operations via CI/CD, and create self-service tools and documentation.

• Bachelor's degree required; multiple levels (Junior/Journeyman/Senior) based on experience.

Job description

The Platform Engineer will develop and maintain the common platform tools and services that enable the WDP System's data management and analytics capabilities. This person will build and enhance the core services that application developers and data scientists use, ensuring the platform provides a robust and efficient environment for mission-critical tasks. This person will design and implement platform capabilities such as containerization, orchestration, and service meshes, create self-service tools for developers to increase productivity, and establish platform monitoring and observability solutions. This person will implement platform security controls and compliance mechanisms, optimize platform performance and resource utilization, and automate platform operations through CI/CD pipelines. This person will evaluate and integrate new technologies to enhance platform capabilities, develop platform documentation and training materials, and collaborate with infrastructure and application teams to ensure seamless integration.

SECRET Security Clearance Required Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+, or SSCP certification (for Junior / Journeyman roles) SecurityX/CASP+,CCNP Security, CCSP,FITSP-O, or GFACT certification (for Senior role) We are actively seeking multiple levels: Junior: 0 - 3 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Journeyman: 4 - 7 years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Senior: 8+ years of experience + Bachelor's Degree Good communication skills, self-starter mindset. Professional proficiency in English is required. Demonstrated proficiency in using all Microsoft Office applications. Salary at Avalore is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combinaition of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. Salary estimates for this job range from $97,000 - $192,000.
