Job summary

Avtec Finishing in New Hope, MN is seeking a Plater / Line Operator for the 1st shift. You will operate a metal-finishing production line, follow detailed work orders, and ensure parts meet customer and quality standards. Training is provided; prior plating experience is not required.

Expect a 10-hour shift, 3:00 p.m.–1:00 a.m., with overtime and a $3,000 sign-on bonus for eligible hires. Weekly attendance rewards and profit sharing are available as part of the compensation package.

Qualifications

• Must read, understand, and follow written work instructions and SOPs.
• Ability to perform basic math and measurements.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Reliable attendance and ability to work on a 10‑hour shift.

Responsibilities

• Operate an assigned metal-finishing production line.
• Read and follow work orders, process sheets, written instructions, and SOPs.
• Verify parts are processed according to customer and quality requirements.
• Monitor tanks, equipment, timing, temperatures, chemistry, and other process parameters.
• Make routine adjustments within established procedures.
• Troubleshoot when something looks off and take appropriate action.
• Perform basic calculations and measurements related to plating.
• Inspect parts for quality and potential problems throughout process.
• Keep production moving while maintaining quality and safety standards.
• Complete required production paperwork accurately.
• Collaborate with Rackers, Leads, Quality, and Production Management.
