Job summary

Accelera in Massachusetts is seeking a dedicated Plater / Anodizer to manage chemical metal treatment lines and ensure output meets strict quality standards. The shift runs 2:00 PM–10:30 PM, offering $18–$20/hour with a $2/hour differential.

You will follow precise work instructions, apply copper, nickel, tin, gold, and silver finishes, and prepare materials for treatment, while maintaining safety and quality records.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of anodizing/plating experience preferred.
• Foundational blueprint interpretation skills.
• Ability to handle chemical substances safely per SOPs.
• Strong attention to production quotas and quality goals.
• Proactive to learn new techniques and expand skills.

Responsibilities

• Follow work instructions, process sheets, and job cards to manage lines.
• Apply metal finishes (copper, nickel, tin, gold, silver) to parts.
• Prepare and sanitize materials for treatment.
• Secure components to fixtures to prevent damage.
• Analyze specifications and blueprints for finishing requirements.
• Oversee coating thickness, process variables, and durations.
• Maintain production records and verify quality.
• Operate autonomously after training to uphold safety and quality.

Our manufacturing department is seeking a dedicated Plater / Anodizer to manage our chemical metal treatment lines and verify that all output adheres to our strict quality standards.

Schedule and Compensation

Shift Timing: 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. Compensation: $18 - $20 per hour, plus an additional $2 per hour for the shift differential.

Core Responsibilities

• Follow precise work instructions, process sheets, and job cards to manage anodizing and plating lines.
• Apply various metal finishes, including copper, nickel, tin, gold, and silver, to treat parts chemically.
• Prepare and sanitize materials to ensure they are ready for the treatment phase.
• Secure components using wires, racks, and fixtures to facilitate effective processing and minimize potential damage.
• Analyze technical specifications and blueprints to identify the correct finishing requirements.
• Oversee coating thickness, process variables, and plating durations to ensure consistent results.
• Help maintain accurate production records and verify that finished goods meet quality benchmarks.
• Operate autonomously after completing training to uphold high safety and quality performance levels.

Required Qualifications

• Ideally, 1 to 2 years of background in anodizing, plating, or a related industrial manufacturing field.
• Foundational knowledge of blueprint interpretation, with opportunities for further skill development.
• Capacity to handle chemical substances securely while adhering to standardized operating procedures.
