Job summary

Valence Surface Technologies in West Springfield, MA is seeking a reliable associate to inspect parts before, during, and after processing, and to competently operate all required machinery with routine maintenance. Fork truck training is required for designated employees; a clean, safe work environment must be maintained.

Candidates must read process travelers, follow ROUTER procedures, and notify supervisors about issues.

Qualifications

• Ability to read process traveler and fill out completed operations
• Ability to perform simple cleaning operations
• Ability to assist as a helper to trained operators
• Able to follow verbal and written direction

Responsibilities

• Inspection of the part before, during, and after processing
• Operate all machinery and instruments necessary to safely perform the job function, including routine maintenance
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Able to locate and understand relevant quality system documentation in the Valence computer system
• Follow Valence ROUTER procedures and fill out routers correctly; correct input mistakes and notify supervisor for all router-related problems
• Process parts with little or no supervision
• Avoid damage to parts and protect parts from damage

COMPENSATION RANGE: $21 to $22.00 plus shift differential

This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
